Our dearly loved, patient and loving father, Jose Elvir, passed away suddenly on March 25th, leaving behind four daughters and three granddaughters who loved him deeply. Losing our dad has been the most unexpected and heartbreaking moment of our lives. We are still trying to process the shock of his absence.

Our father was more than just a parent—he was our steady support, a source of constant encouragement, and the person who taught us what love, resilience, unity, and kindness truly look like. Through his decision to immigrate to this country, he gave us opportunities and a life we would not have otherwise had; a gift we will always carry with gratitude. He showed up for us in every way that mattered, and his presence shaped who we have become. He shaped us into the women we are today in so many ways, always ensuring he imparted patience, kindness, compassion, love, and gentleness toward all—from the birds that crossed his path while driving to even the most impatient drivers. Every memory we hold dear reflects his deep care and concern for our well-being. His most repeated wish was simple—that we love one another and always be there for each other. His smile was bright, and his resilience was deeply admirable. He was never ashamed to share his hope for Heaven, and he faithfully continued doing so until his passing, sharing the hope of eternal life with others. His smile will be deeply missed.

Because his passing was so sudden, we are not quite financially prepared for the expenses that come with laying him to rest. We are now facing the cost of funeral services, memorial arrangements, and other financial obligations left behind. As much as we wish we could handle this on our own, it has become overwhelming during a time when we are already grieving so deeply.

We are asking for help to give our dad the respectful and loving farewell he deserves. Any contribution—no matter the size—will go directly toward funeral expenses and helping us manage some closing financial expenses. If you’re unable to give, sharing this page would mean just as much to us.
