Honoring the Life of Nelson Navas
Donation protected
As most of you are aware, Nelly passed away in December 2024 after a long battle with kidney failure and the unfortunate complications that came with that. Nelson was a great friend to all of us - the sarcastic joker, the life of the party, a helping hand ANYTIME you needed him.
Let’s help out Nelson’s family during this difficult time. ALL proceeds will be paid directly to his sister, Mercy, who is now responsible for services and for helping to take care of Nelson's mom, Gloria. We are in contact with her and will post the celebration of life information as soon as the details are finalized.
From Mercy:
Nelson Alfredo Navas was born October 20, 1976 in El Salvador to Gloria and Alfredo Navas. We moved to San Francisco in May 1983 for a better life. Sadly, our father passed in February 1986. Nelson grew up in Daly City, went to John F. Kennedy Elementary School, then Pollicita Middle School, and finally Jefferson High School. He played football and baseball at Jeff and was mostly in detention due to his interest in being a goofball and using high school as his social life. He worked for FedEx, Nestle Water, and UPS, where he built a strong work family, with many that appreciated his sense of humor and kindness. He had jokes and love for everyone he met. “Let me buy you a cup of coffee” is how he showed love and affection.
He is survived by his mother Gloria, sister Mercy “Merce,” his nephews Jahmari & Malik, great-nephews Kairo & Prince, his great-niece Nalani (his Princess), and by an amazing group of friends. He will be greatly missed.
