Honoring the Life and Legacy of Kandy Carlton

Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Strangers,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved mother, Phyllis Kandy (Bray) Carlton, known to everyone simply as “Kandy.” She left this world on February 17, 2025, at the age of 68, after a lifetime of spreading love, laughter, and music. Her loss is immeasurable, and while we are grieving, we also want to honor her in the way she truly deserves.

Kandy wasn’t just a mother, grandmother, or friend—she was a light in so many lives. She spent her days working hard as a seamstress, but her true passion was music. Whether she was performing with a band, singing solo, or bringing joy to local VFWs, Moose Lodges, and even Opryland, music was her gift to the world. She had an incredible way of making people smile, and her humor, strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed.

Unfortunately, my mother did not have life insurance, and she was living on disability in her final years. Because of this, we are facing a significant financial burden in arranging her cremation and a small memorial service. As many of you know, these costs add up quickly, and we were not financially prepared for this sudden loss.

We are humbly asking for donations to help cover the expenses of her cremation and a simple yet meaningful service to honor her memory. Every dollar makes a difference, and even if you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us.

Kandy touched so many hearts in her lifetime—now, we hope to honor her memory with the dignity and love she so greatly deserves. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
