Honoring the Life of Monique Robinson

On July 16th, 2025, our world changed forever. Monique Janeta Robinson, our mother, our teacher, our safe place, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at just 48 years old. What makes this even more heartbreaking is that she passed on her youngest daughter’s 18th birthday, a day that should have been filled with joy turned into one of unimaginable loss.

She didn’t wake up that morning, and just like that, everything changed.

Monique wasn’t just a mom, she was everything. She showed up for everyone with love, strength, and quiet resilience. She raised us with compassion and courage, even when life was hard. She worked as a paraeducator, pouring her heart into early childhood education and into the lives of so many children. She gave all of herself to those around her.

She gave so much.

Now, we want to give her the peace and honor she deserves. We are trying to bury Monique beside her brother, Simon, who passed before her. They were our grandmother’s only biological children. As our grandmother now lies in the hospital battling cancer, we hope reuniting them will offer her some small comfort in the midst of so much pain.

To make things even harder, the very same day Monique passed, our grandmother, her mother, suffered a stroke while battling cancer. She remains hospitalized, now fighting for her life while mourning the loss of her daughter.

We are raising funds to help:
• Give Monique a beautiful memorial and burial next to her brother
• Support our grandmother through her stroke and cancer battle
• Provide grief counseling for our family
• Cover essential costs as we navigate this loss

Any donation, no matter how small, means more than you know. And if you’re not able to give, please consider sharing this. Your kindness, your prayers, and your support help carry us through when everything feels like it’s falling apart.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. Thank you for helping us honor our mom, a woman who gave everything, and deserved so much more.

With love and gratitude,
Her children and family
