Hi everyone it’s me Lo! As you all know my mother unexpectedly passed recently. This has been more difficult than I can express. Our family is raising funds to help cover a

portion of the unexpected funeral expenses for our mom, Loida Barlow.

Loida worked in the funeral industry for a while, and we were under the impression that her arrangements had been fully preplanned as my father’s was, as she had always shared with us. While certain items we could find paperwork for were prepaid, we learned only after her passing that the funeral service papers have been lost, and we have been unable to locate a paper trail leaving our family with a much larger and unanticipated expense. To say that we are sticker shocked would be an understatement.

This has been a difficult and emotional time, and the reality of how expensive funeral services are has come as a shock while we are grieving. We’ve had many friends and family members reach out asking how they can help, and this felt like the simplest and most transparent way to allow those who wish to support us to do so.

Please know there is absolutely no expectation—your love, prayers, and kind messages mean more to us than anything. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward laying our mom to rest in the way she deserves.
