❤️ Update from the family: In the last few days we’ve learnt so much about mom from her friends and family spanning 68 years of life. We had no idea how missed she was from so many people from so many different walks of life. Our family thanks each and every one of you who shared her passing to everyone else, all the kind words sent, and the generosity from so many sweet people. There are no words that can express how grateful we are. Please feel free to keep sending nice messages and memories, the funeral and plot are now completely covered. We sincerely thank you all from the bottom of our hearts,
-Beth and Sara
Our mother, Laurie Gibson, passed away on June 27th, leaving behind a life filled with compassion, humor, and strength. Laurie was a fiercely independent woman who dedicated her life to helping others as a caring nurse. She loved to travel the world, always seeking new adventures and stories to share. Her sharp wit and unique sense of humor made her the heart of every gathering, and she was known as “mom” to more than just her own children. Laurie’s warmth and generosity touched countless lives, and her absence leaves a deep void in our hearts. She is survived by her two daughters, Sara Collier and Beth Collier.
We are raising funds to cover the costs of Laurie’s viewing and burial. The viewing will be held on July 6th at Scott’s Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas from 5pm until 7pm, and the burial will take place on July 7th at the Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas at 10am. As her children, we want to honor her memory and give her the farewell she deserves. Any support will help us ensure Laurie is remembered in the way she touched so many lives. We are grateful for your kindness and for helping us celebrate the life of a truly remarkable woman.
