Honoring the Life of Josh Hathaway
Donation protected
Recently, we lost one of the most caring and committed friends we’ve had the honor to know.
So many emotions rippled through conversations this past week as we heard the news of Josh’s passing. Josh has worked with us at Stevens Construction Corp. the past 16 years as an integral part of our concrete operations. As stories were shared, there was an underlining similarity of how people spoke of and remembered Josh. A few memories:
- No matter what Josh was doing, he did it with integrity and kindness. His presence will always be missed throughout the company.
- He brought a smile and attitude that lifted the morale of the entire crew.
- Always willing to help out no matter the situation. He helped so many individuals get better at their craft because of his patience. I admire how he gave everyone a chance to prove themselves. A true joy to be around.
- Josh, our days were truly brighter and better because of you. You really are one of the best guys I have had the honor to cross paths with and I’m sure on your next journey everyone you encounter will agree with me!
- One of the best parts of my day was having lunch with him. We’d talk about hunting, farming, our kids, and baseball. His positivity was contagious. He’d tell me about the boys playing ball, and more recently, starting to drive. I could tell being a dad was something he was proud of.
- In honor of my friend, today I’ll have a dry cheese sandwich with no mayo and wash it down with a Mountain Dew. May he rest in peace, and I’ll forever miss him.
- There won’t be a day that passes that I won’t come across something that reminds me of you. You left a lasting imprint everywhere you went and on every person you touched.
- You may have left us, but your hands and footprints will be forever a signature on many structures that reach to the heavens on the Madison skyline. May heaven hold that elusive trophy whitetail you always dreamed of!
When it comes right down to it, we’re going to miss you “Fella”!
Keep a sharp eye on us down here, keep us all safe.
