Honoring the life of Jon Angeles

Donation protected

Our dear friend and brother, Jon Angeles passed suddenly on May 10, 2021. After being admitted to the hospital for stomach ulcers less than two weeks ago, a heart condition was discovered and our dear Jon endured multiple strokes and ultimately succumbed to his ailments and joined our Father in Paradise. While most of his medical expenses have been taken care of by his family and insurance, we’re in need of your help to say a proper farewell to our beloved friend with costs associated with funeral and burial expenses.

If you were lucky enough to know Jon in grade school or high school, you were amazed by his creative talents and abilities. In a time when breakdancing, DJ’ing and graffiti art defined our culture and young society, Jon was at the forefront of both and displayed his talents in many ways -

Dancing in talent shows

DJing local dances and parties

Creating art on paper, canvas and clothing

  • Airbrushing jeans
  • Designing T shirts
  • Robotech designs
  • Canvas graffiti

I was lucky enough to know him at an even younger age, when he and his family moved just two houses away from me in the mid-80s. On Saturday mornings, I would regularly wake up to find Jon on my couch playing Mario Brothers on my Nintendo and eating cereal. We were also known to take out our house speakers and put them in the streets to blast the sounds of Beat Street and Electric Boogaloo so our neighbors could ‘enjoy’ along with us.

Jon was also my sports buddy growing up. We’d play everything from Butt’s Up, street football, tennis, and especially basketball. Many of our friends will recall an intense game of ‘horse’ that got out of hand at the Nestor Elementary severn foot hoops. I loved that about Jon. He would always be up for anything. And Jon would support his friends no matter what. Whenever we needed him to help, whether it was to help with hiding a broken window, working on or fixing a car, offering his talents and services, or taking one for the team.

Jon was that once in a lifetime friend. Always putting himself first, for all of his friends and family. Always there when you need then, selflessly offering his help.

Now, Jon and his family need your help. Jon’s passing was unexpected and sudden and while his family and insurance have taken care of mostly all of the medical bills, we need your help in funding a proper farewell with funeral, viewing, and burial services for our beloved Jon.

We’re needing to fund his services as soon as possible. 100% of the funds collected, after campaign fees, will go directly to Jon’s family to fund Jon’s farewell services.

With love and sincere thanks in advance-

Jon’s family and friends
