On September 23, 2026, our family’s lives changed forever. Johnny was on his way home from work after spending the day doing what he loved—serving others through his craft as a barber at Alton’s Old School Barbershop—when he was tragically struck by a vehicle. His life was taken far too soon at just 52 years old, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and a community that will forever feel his absence.

Johnny was so much more than a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was the person you could always count on. He had a big smile, a big heart, and a way of making people feel welcome and cared for. If someone needed help, Johnny was there. He never hesitated to lend a hand, and he never expected anything in return.

His wife and children were his world. He showed his love through everything he did by fixing things around the house, giving advice, solving problems, and always making sure his family was taken care of. He was their rock, their protector, and the person they could always turn to. That was just who Johnny was—he cared about people.

During this incredibly difficult time, so many of you have reached out asking how you can support our family, and we are truly grateful for the love and kindness we have received.
