Honoring the life of John W. Chitmon Jr.
Donation protected
On November 18th, we lost our beloved one, John Chitmon Jr. We want to give John (Juno) the memorial he deserves. To honor his memory, his spirit and to create a space to share our last goodbyes, we're asking for donations to help us cover the cost of a modest funeral. Any donation no matter the amount is deeply appreciated
If you want to support the cause in any other way, please reach out to me personally
Notes from the family:
If you knew John anytime in his life, you knew him for his unique perspective on life, he had a very... Bespoke sense of humor. When he really found something funny, you'd hear a loud, warm, booming laugh that in some of our wilder moments together, was the only thing that made sense.
He had the ability be cool, calm, and collected, to be deeply insightful about the world around him but also his ability to be optimistic, which was a great talent for bringing much needed levity in our darker moments in life.
If you knew John in his later years, you knew him to be an unflinchingly supportive father. He was unabashedly proud of his son(and he made sure you knew it!!!), the many adventures they shared together over the years, and the joy they brought to each others lives.
I felt so lucky to have had a dad like him in my life. He really blazed his own trail, passing his tools onto me, so I could keep going forward... And I think he did pretty well.
