Honoring the life of Joel Guffey

Our community is heartbroken by the sudden passing of 19-year-old Joel Guffey, who went home to be with Jesus after a tragic car accident. Joel was a bright light—full of kindness, laughter, and faith that reflected the love of Christ. Though our hearts ache, we hold fast to the promise that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).

This GoFundMe has been created to come alongside Joel’s family during this heartbreaking time, helping with funeral expenses and showing them the same love and care that the Guffey family has always so freely shared with others. Please consider giving monetarily and sharing this page as we lift the Guffey family in prayer and trust God’s comfort to carry them through.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary (1219 N Main Street, Hutchinson Kansas 67502).

Funeral will be Thursday, October 9 at 10:00 a.m. at CrossPoint Hutchinson (1410 E 30th Avenue, Hutchinson Kansas 67502).
