Hello, I’m Jessica Tumiwa, making this fundraiser on behalf of my mother, Debra Tumiwa-Macawalang, who has passed away and was called home by Jesus on the night of March 4, 2026.

Debra was an amazing person who centered her life around God and family. She carried on many roles in her community and left a positive impact on the people around her of all ages. From leading the congregation in worship, mentoring the young generation on how to worship and stay strong in faith, using her creativity to decorate spaces for events, face painting the children, and many more. She was also a hardworking caregiver, who always took care of her patients with a joyful heart. Most of all, she was a selfless mother and wife to her family. She would always dedicate her time and care towards her family before herself, especially her children.

Debra was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in the beginning of January 2026. Unfortunately, with how advanced the cancer was, she was too weak to start the chemotherapy treatment by the time her first appointment came at the end of February. Within a week, her health declined rapidly, losing her ability to move, eat, and speak as each day went by and ultimately leading to her last breath on March 4th, 2026 at 10:15pm.

Her passing has been a devastating loss to many people. With the loss of Debra, her family also struggles to fund for her funeral expenses on top of maintaining monthly bills. To honor her life, this fundraiser serves to support her family in paying for funeral and burial expenses. Please consider donating and/or sharing to help during this difficult time.
