Honoring the Life of Charlie-Olisa Kaine Sr.
On January 7, 2026, our father, Charlie-Olisa Kaine Sr., went home to be with the Lord. He was 73 years old.
My father was a creative spirit, a storyteller, and a man who carried both strength and complexity. He was born on December 6, 1952, and lived a life that stretched across cultures, generations, and experiences. He leaves behind four children and eight grandchildren who will forever carry his name, his lessons, and his legacy.
As a family, we are preparing to honor him with a memorial service in Los Angeles County in late February. We want this gathering to reflect dignity, faith, and family. A moment where stories can be shared, prayers can be lifted, and his grandchildren can see just how many lives he touched.
We are raising funds to help cover:
• Cremation and mortuary expenses
• Memorial service venue and program costs
• Printed materials and photo displays
• Administrative costs including certified death certificates
• Travel assistance for close family members if needed
We are approaching this responsibly and with transparency. Funeral and end-of-life expenses in Los Angeles County add up quickly, even when you choose modest options. Our goal is simply to handle everything properly without placing long term financial strain on the family.
If you feel led to support, we are deeply grateful. No amount is too small. Your prayers, encouragement, and sharing of this page mean just as much.
We thank everyone who has already called, texted, prayed, and stood with us. In this season, we are reminded that community is everything.
With appreciation,
Charlie Kaine and Family
