Our hearts are broken as we share the tragic loss of Stephen Washington, who was taken from us far too soon while in Rush City Prison, Minnesota.

Stephen was more than the system that confined him — he was a loving father, devoted son, caring brother, fun cousin, cherished nephew, and a loyal friend to so many. He was an athlete, a college student, an entrepreneur, and a true go-getter with unstoppable drive and ambition.

Stephen had dreams that reached far beyond the prison walls. He wanted to build, create, and give back — and everyone who knew him could feel his passion and his heart. His laughter was contagious, his words were uplifting, and his presence lit up any room he entered. ✨
