This scholarship fund was set up to honor the life and memory of Mark Mendes. After a long battle with cancer, Mark passed away on September 13, 2023. Mark had the support of his wife, Maria, and their two children, Zachary and Ryan all throughout his illness. Mark was happiest when he was attending Zachary and Ryan's sporting events and games throughout the years. He was so proud of their amazing accomplishments. Thankfully, Mark was able to participate in many of these milestones even as his illness progressed. Mark was so proud of Zachary and Ryan's accomplishments. He saw them graduate from high school and move onto college. Zachary is currently attending Brookdale Community College, and has plans to transfer to a four year school to finish his degree. Ryan just started his freshman year at Stony Brook University. Please help honor Mark by contributing to this scholarship fund. Any contribution will go a long way in keeping Mark's memory present, as Zachary and Ryan can continue to make their father proud.
