Honoring the Life and Legacy of Memhir Hagos Haile

In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Father, Brother, and Educator

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Memhir Hagos Haile, who left us peacefully in a hospice facility. He was a devoted father, cherished brother, and a pillar of strength to everyone who knew him.

Memhir Hagos Haile dedicated his life to education in both Eritrea and US, serving as a teacher and mentor to countless students. His wisdom, kindness, and commitment to uplifting others left a lasting impact on generations.

As we grieve this deep loss, we are also working to honor his life and legacy in a way that reflects the love and respect he so freely gave. We’ve created this GoFundMe to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, and if possible, assist in transporting him to his final resting place where family and loved ones can say their goodbyes back home in Eritrea.

The hazen (mourning gathering) is being held at Mahberkom Eritrean Community Center 1528 Valentine PL S, Seattle, WA 98144 and will continue through the end of the day on Friday, August 8th. The final memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 9th at Medhane Alem Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church, 11800 Renton Ave S, Seattle, WA 98178.
