With profound sadness, we share the passing of Maria D. Uribe, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and a woman whose heart knew no bounds. Maria’s life was defined by unwavering love, boundless generosity, and a fierce dedication to those she held dear. She lived a life of service—not just through her work, but through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and compassion.

Maria dedicated herself to caring for others, both personally and professionally. As a home health aide and a skilled hemodialysis technician, she spent her career helping patients, but her greatest devotion was to her family. She tirelessly cared for her son, Louis, her daughter, Jennifer, and her beloved granddaughter, Kayla, ensuring they were always surrounded by love and support. When Louis needed dialysis, Maria learned everything she could, becoming his greatest advocate and caregiver. Later in life, she turned that same knowledge inward, fighting for her own health with the same strength and determination she showed for others.

Beyond her role as a caregiver, Maria was a vibrant soul who loved deeply. Her sharp sense of humor brought joy to those around her, even in the toughest times. She loved to travel, spend time with family and friends, and surround herself with the simple joys of life. And among the greatest loves of her life were her beloved dogs—Bear, Cosmo, Bosco, Loby, Junior, and Princess—each one holding a special place in her heart. They were more than pets; they were her loyal companions, her protectors, and her source of endless love and comfort.

Now, as we mourn the loss of Maria, we are faced with not only the unexpected burden of funeral expenses but also the significant medical costs incurred during her care. Her final weeks were spent in and out of hospitals, undergoing treatments, surgeries, and emergency interventions—all in the hope of recovery. These expenses have placed a heavy financial strain on our family, and we humbly ask for your support to help cover both her funeral and medical costs.
