Honoring the Life and Legacy of Jeffrey Fitzgerald

It is with a shattered heart that I share the news of the passing of my father, Jeffrey “Fitz” Fitzgerald — a loving dad, a dedicated firefighter, and a true hero in every sense of the word.

My dad served the City of Miami as a firefighter for 25 years, putting his life on the line every day to protect others. He was brave, selfless, and kind — not just in his work, but in every part of his life. Whether he was running into burning buildings or showing up for family and friends, he did it all with quiet strength and unwavering love.

Losing him so suddenly has left our family in pieces. We're grieving not only the man he was, but the light and protection he gave to so many — both at home and in the community he served so faithfully.

As we try to navigate this unimaginable loss, we are also faced with the unexpected financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses. My father gave his life to helping others, and now, we humbly ask for help in giving him the respectful and heartfelt goodbye he deserves.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward funeral costs and arrangements to lay my father to rest with the honor and dignity he earned through a life of service. If you’re not able to give, we understand — your thoughts, prayers, and sharing of this page are just as meaningful.
