Honoring the Life and Legacy of Dina Adao
Donation protected
The Embassy community mourns the loss of Dina Adao, a cherished mother, colleague, and friend. Dina leaves behind two sons. We are raising funds to support them in her absence and ensure they have the resources needed to pursue their dreams.
For more than three decades, Dina devoted herself tirelessly to the U.S. Mission to Guinea-Bissau, working alongside countless American diplomats and embassy staff, always with a vivacious spirit and warm smile. Her colleagues knew her as a friend as much as a coworker—someone who could light up a room with her laughter, offer a comforting word, or lend a helping hand. Her dedication to the Mission and the people she served was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Dina was the heartbeat of the office, a vibrant presence that brought comfort and camaraderie to those around her. Dina's absence leaves a profound void, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of working alongside her.
Now, her two young sons face the loss of their beloved mother. As a community, we want to come together to support her children and provide them with the opportunities she dreamed for them.
Thank you for helping us honor her legacy. Together, we can carry forward her spirit and the love she shared with so many.
