On June 6th, 2025, we lost a beloved soul—Dennis SunRhodes. We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support in helping us lay Dennis to rest with the dignity and honor he deserves. All funds raised will go toward covering funeral services, burial expenses, and, if possible, a memorial to celebrate his life.
Dennis was many things: a protector, a teacher, a visionary—and above all, a man who changed lives. He changed mine. He taught me to ride horses when I was young and later brought me to Saint Paul, helping me open a new chapter in my life. Most importantly, he believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. I would not be where I am today without him.
Professionally, Dennis was a gifted and respected architect whose work can be seen across the country. Yet, he never lost sight of who he was or where he came from. His life's work was deeply rooted in honoring Native American communities—designing spaces that weren’t just buildings, but powerful symbols of heritage, resilience, and cultural pride.
He stayed true to his culture, and in doing so, uplifted many others. His influence reaches far beyond his architectural achievements. It lives in every person he mentored, every family he supported, and every structure that now stands as a testament to his spirit.
Dennis gave so much to the world. Now, we ask for your help in giving something back—a gentle, peaceful goodbye to a man whose life was anything but quiet.
We lost a light that can never be replaced. But that light lives on in each of us who carry forward his love, his lessons, and his courage.
Thank you for your support, your prayers, and for helping us honor the legacy of Dennis SunRhodes.
