My name is Alexandra, and I am writing this with a heavy heart to ask for your support. On December 22nd, my dad, a strong and dedicated man of only 47 years, was rushed to the hospital from his workplace after suffering symptoms of a stroke.

The medical news that followed was devastating. My father had suffered multiple hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes across both sides of his brain. We were faced with a “double-edged sword,” as the treatment for one type of stroke would have dangerously worsened the other, leaving us with no medical solution. He spent twelve days in a comatose state, bravely fighting pneumonia and complications from the initial brain injury. After nine days on a ventilator, it became clear his prognosis was poor and it was highly unlikely that he would ever regain consciousness or breathe on his own again. We moved him to hospice care for his final days, and on January 3rd, my father’s journey came to an end. We are left mourning not only the man he was, but the future reunions and moments he was working so hard to reach.

About My Dad

My father was the definition of a hard worker. He took immense pride in providing for his family, caring for his friends, and extending a helping hand to strangers in need. He was a self-taught mechanic, a talented landscaper, and a true "animal whisperer." Whether he was caring for horses, roosters, or peacocks, animals sensed his gentle soul and loved him back.

More than anything, he loved his children. He leaves behind three of us: myself (25), and my two younger siblings, ages 17 and 14.

Why We Need Your Help

Because my father was so young and his passing was so sudden, we were completely unprepared for the financial burden of funeral and burial costs. As the eldest daughter, I am doing everything I can to navigate this, but my father was the primary provider for my younger siblings, and we are struggling to find the means to give him the respectful farewell he deserves.
