Honoring the Legacy of Twilight Bey

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Twilight Bey, a true warrior for peace, unity, and change. Twilight dedicated his life to ending violence, advocating for justice, and mentoring youth, leaving an undeniable impact on communities he touched.

From his crucial role in the historic 1992 Los Angeles gang truce to his tireless work with Jim Brown’s Amer-I-Can program, Twilight mentored and uplifted countless at-risk youth, giving them hope and guidance toward a brighter future. His commitment to change didn’t stop there—he expanded his mission to London, England, where he personally mentored over 5,000 young men, dedicating more than 90,000 hours of service to transforming lives. He spent many hours inside prisons, teaching life management classes and mentoring incarcerated men, offering them the tools to break cycles of violence and reclaim their futures.

Twilight spent his final moments doing what he loved—teaching and mentoring inside a prison in North London. Shortly after teaching his last class, he suffered a fatal heart attack before he could leave. If you knew him, you know he would not have wanted it any other way—his life’s work was his passion, and he gave everything to his mission.
