Honoring the Legacy of Our Beloved Tita Pearl
With heavy hearts but deep gratitude, we share the passing of our dear mentor, friend, and inspiration, Pearl Parmelee (Tita Pearl), who left us on June 10, 2026, in Las Vegas. For the Filipino Vibe Events Team and the KitakEATS family, knowing Tita Pearl over the last five years completely changed the direction of our lives. During the uncertainty of the pandemic, she stepped in to guide our Bay Area food community. She selflessly mentored home-based sellers—teaching food safety, navigating commercial kitchens, and helping vendors transition from trunk pickups to major events like UNDISCOVERED SF, Pistahan SF, and our 2021 Ube Fest.
Beyond her invaluable business mentorship, she was the heart and flavor of our community, beloved by all for her warmth and her famous Tita Pearl’s Empanadas. Tita Pearl gave everything to lift others up. Now, it is our turn to give back to her family. We have set up this fund to support her loved ones as they navigate this immense loss and arrange her final farewell. KitakEATS, Tita Pearl. We love you, we miss you, and we thank you for everything.
