About a month ago, one of the founders of the Zeta Mu chapter of Phi Kappa Tau at Appalachian State suffered a severe snowboarding incident that ultimately left him paralyzed. On March 5th, he passed away peacefully in the close comfort of his friends and family. Jonathan Rink is what we saw as a true Man of Distinction and his everlasting impact on our chapter will never be forgotten. His profound knowledge and dedication to what’s important put us in the position we as a fraternity are in now to be able to have a platform to support one of our own. As a chapter, we have come together to create a scholarship in his name, Jonathan Rink Scholarship, recognizing brothers that have shown exemplary character, ethical leadership, as well as outstanding academic achievements.
