It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my dear friend, Thai Barker, on May 28th. Thai was a musician, a writer, a loyal friend, and someone who could always make people laugh, even on his hardest days. He fought a long battle with addiction, but that battle never defined the kind, caring person he was.
His loss has left an unimaginable void in the lives of those who loved him.
We are raising funds to help cover the costs of cremation, returning his ashes to his mother, and a small service to honor his life. Due to serious injuries, Thai’s mother is unable to travel and is facing the heartbreaking reality of being unable to retrieve many of his personal belongings and treasured keepsakes.
If anyone who knew Thai, or knows someone traveling from Kingman, Arizona back to Washington, would be willing to help bring home his small collection of belongings, our family would be forever grateful. It would mean more than words can express to his mother to have those pieces of him returned home.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden on his family during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.
Rest easy, Thai. You were loved more than you knew and will be missed more than words can say.
