Today we share a moment in our honoring and remembrance of our good friend, and longtime CSN member, Tanoi was not only a man who was dedicated to his real-life family and aspirations, but also a man who sought out this community as an outlet and a hobby; like the rest of us.
Joining us on April 25, 2021 - he was fast-paced in getting involved and promoting the positivity of the fact that we could all gather here from every corner of the world, all walks of life, and share our collective interest in re-enacting realistic stories and scenarios in a video game. Very quickly, that ‘hobby’ turned into a second home, a second family, and a means for him to utilize his own earned sense of life maturity & resilience to be there for the people who share this community as a home.
Many times, Tanoi would be the first to jump at an opportunity to uplift and support those of us who needed - even if we didn’t particularly know we needed it. This was a gentleman that would pause WHATEVER he may be doing at any given moment to compose a well thought out, thorough, and honest message for somebody who may have just DMed him even the simplest of questions ranging from A-Z. That’s just it - he genuinely cared to accentuate every portion of whatever it was that he KNEW, in relation to what anyone may need help with at a moment’s notice without missing a stride. Tanoi was known to share incredibly thoughtful (sometimes lengthy!) voice messages, or spend his time conversing with people in voice to ensure that he helped get to the bottom of any problem and offer his support in any way he could. Even for things unrelated to CSN as a whole, he never missed a step in showing up for ANYONE and EVERYONE who needed it. This is a man who treated each individual he came in contact with as more than strangers; but as his very own brothers and sisters.
We take this moment of solidarity as a means to express our gratitude for being so fortunate enough to #1: know somebody like Tanoi, and #2: have him involved in this beautiful project, that none of us do for any other reason besides the fact that we love doing it, and we love the people involved. Life is so utterly fragile, and we should all collectively make a practice to pay less mind to every problem or conflict we may face day-to-day: and to be more grateful for each day that we are graced to live another of - to breathe another days worth of air through our lungs. We will not forget Tanoi, and he will forever be a staple of the collective love and appreciation we all share for this little family that we have cultivated TOGETHER.
Rest in peace to our CSN FBI Director L. Tanoi, your passing will forever fuel our passion to serve one another and to be better friends, better teammates, and stronger individuals in the face of tragedy.
