My name is Rachana, and I am reaching out to honor the memory of my beloved son, Swapnil Srivastava. Swapnil was a creative, innovative soul who earned his undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and went on to complete his master’s in computer science at Clemson, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He was passionate about technology and always dreamed of making a difference in the world. Swapnil always showed respect for the Universe and wanted to do something to improve the world. He had a big, optimistic smile that could light up any room, and he brought joy to everyone he met—whether it was their first or hundredth encounter. He was always cheerful, spreading positivity wherever he went, and he truly was my life. As an immigrant family, we faced many challenges along the way. Despite Swapnil’s academic excellence, his immigration status prevented him from receiving federal scholarships or grants, which meant I took on significant financial responsibility to support his education. When Swapnil decided to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams and started his own company, Chimp Craft, I continued to help him with rent and daily expenses, even taking out personal loans to ensure he could follow his passion. Tragically, Swapnil died unexpectedly at just 27 years old. Along with the heartbreak of losing my son, I now face the burden of student loans and remaining debts. The funds raised will be used to pay off these debts and reduce the financial stress on our family during this difficult time.
