It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sumitra Karki, who left us on December 12, 2025, at 5:45 AM, surrounded by her loving family.

Originally from Dagana, Bhutan, Sumitra had long struggled with chronic asthma. She resettled in the United States after spending 18 years in the Timai Refugee Camp, and most recently made her return home in Granville, Ohio.
