Nothing can truly prepare you for the pain of losing someone you love, especially when the loss comes with so much heartbreak, exhaustion, and unanswered grief. Stephen was more than a brother — he was a son, family, and a piece of our hearts that can never be replaced. He was the life of the party—he could make anyone laugh and was a loving father to Kaleb, Jude, and Shae. When he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer while incarcerated, our family was devastated. We spent the last six months fighting to bring him home so he could be surrounded by loved ones and meet his new grandson. Despite our efforts, Stephen passed away after a courageous battle, leaving a void in our hearts.
As we face this devastating reality, we are trying to put together a celebration of life that reflects who Stephen was and the love he leaves behind. We want to create a space for family and friends to come together, share memories, grieve openly, and honor his life with dignity and compassion. The support from this fundraiser will help cover the costs of his memorial, urn, and special keepsakes to remember him by, as well as travel expenses for his daughter, mom, and other family members who will be coming from out of state. Any remaining funds will go directly to his children, ensuring they are cared for during this difficult time.
