Honoring Stephanie Leavins: Support Her Family
Donation protected
Hey everyone, my name is Amber Celestial. Thank you for taking a moment to read my Aunt’s story. My family and I have been completely blindsided by the sudden loss of our beautiful loved one, Stephanie Leavins. To know her was to love her. I am setting up this GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses, meals, daily living expenses, etc. for Earl and Libby Leavins.
The last thing we want them to worry about right now is finances. Please help in any way you possibly can.
Stephanie loved life and she truly loved everyone she came in contact with. You were all her family; she never met a stranger. She was always going to get a hug or kiss from you before you left, and she always made you feel heard and seen when no one else could. My grandmother & grandfather, Libby and Earl Leavins devoted their entire lives to giving Stephanie a life. My grandmother went so far even as to go back to high school again with Stephanie k-12th grade to give her the most normal childhood possible. I feel like I can speak for her when I say that a part of her has passed with Stephanie. She was Stephanie’s arms and legs for 47 years. And we want to try to do our best to show her the same selfless love she showed Stephanie.
It’s hard for me to find the words to describe Stephanie because there’s not enough room on this page to do so. So instead, I am going to share some of her own words with you today.
“God has been so good to me. He’s turned my disability into so many possibilities. Even though I still have Muscular Dystrophy, and yes, I’m still in my wheelchair and cannot use my arms, God has given me the strength to be able to share my testimony with audiences all across the United States, letting people know that just because you have a handicap, that doesn’t mean you can’t do anything for the Lord. He can use you to encourage others to make it through another day. That’s what my ministry is all about. It’s telling others that no matter what circumstances you may find yourself in, with the help of the Lord, you can make it. God has opened so many doors for me, and through my testimony and songs, I have been able to share His love and mercy in my life. He took a life that medical science had given up on, used this broken vessel, and gave me a purpose for my life. I thank Him and my wonderful, courageous family from the depths of my heart for not giving up on me and for making so many of my dreams come true.”
“I make the most of my life each day because I don’t know what the future holds for me, but as long as I’m here on this earth, I want to continue singing and giving my testimony so that it might encourage and give hope to others. And also, that they might see that God has a purpose for their life if they could just look beyond their circumstances and see Jesus. My mission is to be an encouragement to others. I love each & every one of you with all my heart & soul.”
May God Bless You, Stephanie
