It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Sgt. Shawn D. Redhouse on August 9, 2025.
Shawn was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend whose presence left an incredible mark on everyone who knew him. He was deeply proud of his role as a father, often speaking with joy about his five children and his excitement about being a new grandfather.
Shawn is survived by his children Daylene, Daniel, David, DeLacy, and Skye, along with his two grandsons. He was proud of his Kin’lichiin’ii clan heritage, growing up in both Monument Valley and Flagstaff before making his home in Mesa, Arizona. After graduating from Sinaqua High School, Shawn joined the United States Marine Corps, where he earned Rifle Expert awards and even considered Special Operations—showing his unwavering commitment, discipline, and courage.
Shawn loved life. He enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and especially rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. In his honor, we encourage those attending his funeral to wear their favorite sports jersey.
