Speedo passed away on April 19, 2026, after fighting cancer. He was deeply loved, and we did everything we could to give him the best care and every possible chance.

What made Speedo special was how fully he showed up in life. He was always happy and always ready to go out. He loved being around people and other dogs, and he brought a joyful energy wherever he went. He loved his frisbee ball and his stuffed lamb, and he had a goofy streak that made us laugh constantly. One of his signature moves was pooping on boulders and short walls while balancing on his front paws like it was the most natural thing in the world.

More than anything, Speedo helped us through difficult times. He brought comfort, joy, and love when we needed it most.

Speedo was lucky that he had us, and that we were able to afford the medical care he needed. Not every family is in that position. Caring for a pet with cancer can cost tens of thousands of dollars, and even a single day in a veterinary hospital can cost thousands. No one should have to choose between their pet’s life and what they can afford.

In Speedo’s memory, we are raising funds to help other pets receive medical care through Waggle. Our hope is that Speedo’s life can continue to do what he always did: bring love, relief, and hope to others.
