Sokung was incredibly smart and accomplished, earning two bachelor’s degrees from Chico State and always showing a natural eye for design. Even at a young age, she carried herself with a maturity beyond her years—responsible, hardworking, and careful with her finances. She was full of life and energy, facing every day without a single complaint. Her heart was always centered on supporting our parents and caring for her siblings. As kids, she took on the role of a second mother, waking up early to make us breakfast—sometimes even burning the ramen noodles, which still makes us smile whenever we remember it. During the holidays, she made sure each of her siblings had gifts, no matter what she had to sacrifice to make that happen. Her thoughtfulness was endless, and her love showed in every small thing she did.
As I grew older, I realized how much she had carried for all of us, and I felt a deep desire to give back to her for her selflessness and her loving spirit. Through every challenge, she stood by us. As the oldest sister, she bore so much responsibility, yet she never once complained. She always spoke kindly of our family and held us together with her warmth. Even as life took us in different directions, we always found our way back to each other—especially during Christmas, her favorite time of year. Those moments are memories we will treasure forever. Sokung’s love, generosity, and gentle heart will forever remain with us. Her presence shaped our family in ways we will never forget, and the loss of her is felt deeply every single day. We will always miss her and carry her in our hearts.
We are truly grateful for any donation to help us provide Sokung with a proper, loving funeral service—one that honors the beautiful life she lived. Your support means more to our family than words can express. Thank you.
