*Update September 1, 2026*: First of all, thank you to everyone who has donated to this cause. It means the world to Sohail's family and to us. As of now, all of the funds received have been transferred to the relevant parties in Pakistan.

We will continue to accept donations on an ongoing basis and if you would like to continue to support Sohail's family, please keep donating! Thank you so much for your ongoing support - Chris

On July 30th, the Avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan took the lives of 10 climbers and has rocked the outdoor adventure community around the world. This tragedy has hit the Epic Expeditions family very close to home indeed.

One of those climbers involved was Sohail Sakhi from Hunza Valley, Pakistan. Sohail was one of my oldest friends in Pakistan, a trip leader for Epic Expeditions for 5 years, a skilled mountaineer and athlete, and one of the most intelligent and interesting people I have ever met.

The goal of this fundraiser is to honor his memory and offer financial support to his family during this period of unimaginable loss.

100% of the funds collected will go to Sohail's immediate family (his mother and brother).

Sohail gave us so much in life, and now we want to give back to those whom he supported and loved.

Thanks for being here and for considering giving a donation.

For more information on Sohail and his impact within our community, please check out this memorial article I have put together for him:
