My family is heartbroken to share that my brother, Sigi, passed away on 8/12/2025. He was born with severe cerebral palsy, severe epilepsy, and multiple other chronic major medical conditions that made him a true medical mystery. Sigi defied every prognosis and filled our lives with 32 beautiful years of courage, laughter, and love.

We came to the United States when he was 8 years old, seeking the medical care and opportunities he needed to thrive. Throughout his life, he endured and overcame countless surgeries, battles with sepsis, and many ICU stays. Each time, he fought his way back to us. His strength was truly extraordinary.

As an immigrant family, we’ve faced ongoing hardships from limited access to resources to financial strain, but his presence was always the heart that kept us going.

Now, as we grieve his loss, we’re doing our best to plan a memorial/celebration of life that honors who Sigi truly was, not just the hardships he endured, but the love, light, and laughter he brought into every room.

In addition to the costs of the memorial/celebration, this fundraiser will help cover significant medical bills from his most recent hospitalizations, as well as the loss of income we’ve experienced during this incredibly difficult time.

At the moment, we don’t yet have the funds to set a finalized date for the services, but we are doing everything we can to make it possible and will keep everyone updated as plans come together.

Con mucho dolor, mi familia comparte que mi hermano, Sigi, falleció el 12 de agosto de 2025. Nació con parálisis cerebral severa, epilepsia severa y múltiples otras condiciones médicas crónicas graves que lo convirtieron en un verdadero misterio médico, y aun así desafió cada pronóstico y llenó nuestras vidas con 32 hermosos años de valentía, risas y amor.

Llegamos a los Estados Unidos cuando él tenía 8 años, en busca de la atención médica y las oportunidades que necesitaba para sobrevivir. A lo largo de su vida, soportó y superó innumerables cirugías, batallas contra la sepsis y muchas estancias en cuidados intensivos. Cada vez, luchaba para volver con nosotros. Su fortaleza fue verdaderamente extraordinaria.

Como familia inmigrante, enfrentamos dificultades constantes — desde el acceso limitado a recursos hasta la tensión financiera — pero su presencia siempre fue el corazón que nos mantenía en pie.

Ahora, mientras lloramos su partida, también hacemos lo posible por planear una celebración de vida que honre quién fue realmente Sigi, no solo las dificultades que soportó, sino también el amor, la luz y la alegría que llevaba a cada lugar.

Además de los gastos del memorial/celebración, esta recaudación ayudará a cubrir las significativas cuentas médicas de sus hospitalizaciones más recientes, así como la pérdida de ingresos que hemos sufrido en este tiempo tan difícil.

Por el momento, aún no tenemos los fondos para fijar una fecha definitiva para los servicios, pero estamos haciendo todo lo posible para lograrlo y mantendremos a todos informados a medida que se concreten los planes.
