Shu spent his life building something that was never just about physical therapy. What he really built was a place where people mattered. From the very beginning, he cared deeply about the people around him—his patients, his team, and anyone who walked through the door. He created an environment where people felt supported, where relationships came first, and where doing the right thing wasn’t optional—it was the standard. To him, the team was never just employees. It was family. And he lived that out every day. He showed up for people. He listened. He helped however he could. Whether it was something small or something life-changing, he believed in taking care of his people—inside the clinic and far beyond it. That’s what we want to carry forward.

In his honor, we are creating a fund dedicated to supporting current and former Lattimore team members who are going through unexpected hardship. Because life happens. Illness, accidents, and unforeseen events can create real financial strain—often in ways that insurance or traditional support doesn’t cover. This fund is meant to step in during those moments and provide support when it’s needed most. This is a direct extension of who he was. It’s about taking care of our own. It’s about showing up. And it’s about continuing the culture he built—one centered on people above everything else.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to help establish and grow this fund so that his impact can continue to be felt in a real, tangible way. For all current and former Lattimore team members, and for anyone whose life he touched—thank you for being part of what he built. We will carry it forward.
