At age 14, Shilo Burrell was a bright light to everyone who knew him—cool, intelligent, and full of promise. He dreamed of joining the Air Force and becoming a welder, and he worked diligently toward those goals as a Master Squad Leader in the JROTC program at Mansfield High School. Shilo demonstrated leadership, discipline, and pride in all that he did.
Family meant everything to Shilo. He was a loving and devoted big brother who took great care of his siblings and showed up for them in meaningful ways. His kindness and presence left a lasting impression on those around him.
Tragically, at the age of 15, Shilo took his own life. Though the reasons remain unknown, the love he gave and the impact he made will never be forgotten.
Shilo was deeply loved and will forever be missed.
The Honoring Shilo Burrell’s Bright Legacy is a fundraiser created to financially support my daughter, Jenisis, following the tragic loss of her child, Shilo. The purpose of this fundraiser is to assist with funeral, memorial, and related expenses associated with Shilo’s passing.
Due to the emotional impact of this loss, Jenisis requested that I organize and manage the fundraiser on her behalf, as she is not currently able to do so herself. I have her full knowledge and consent to oversee this process.
Once the funds are released, they will be used exclusively for their intended purpose. I will receive the funds and transfer the full amount directly to Jenisis through my Zelle account so she can cover the funeral-related expenses.
