Honoring Shetaye: A Legacy of Love and Faith

Shetaye Tarekegne Tobo went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 18, 2024. She leaves behind a loving family, including 4 children, and 12 grandchildren. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend she will be sorely missed.

Shetaye was a fearless woman of God who served in her church and prayer group. Born May 10th, 1952 in Goree, Illubabor in Western Oromia, Ethiopia she would go on to marry Tadesse Jirata Onco and raise her children in Finfinne.

After a brief battle with cancer, Shetaye fought the good fight until her Creator called her home. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die". Amen.
