On Friday night, January 16, Sharon was callously struck down by a hit and run driver who still hasn't been apprehended. She leaves behind her autistic son Nicholas who will need financial support for the rest of his life.

Now that we have laid Sharon to rest, we are focused on ensuring a stable transition for Nicholas even as we are still struggling to come to terms with this unimaginable loss; including finding the coward who left her to die in the street, and bringing him to justice.

If you knew Sharon personally, you know that she lived a kind, loving, and generous life —whether pursuing her beauty and fashion ventures; her community service as a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority; her dance worship with her Church family; her unwavering love for Nicholas, her parents and her siblings; and her resilience as a working student and a working mom.

She is a special, bright light that will continue to shine through our memories of all she did for others.
