My name is Tracy Haywood, and I am the proud big sister of a beautiful, strong, and ambitious woman named Sharee Haywood.

It is with broken hearts that we share that Sharee’s short life abruptly came to an end just one day after her 33rd birthday. Sharee was intelligent, fierce, outspoken, and a true go-getter. When she set her mind to something, she accomplished it. She carried herself with confidence, strength, and a heart that deeply cared for others.

Sharee didn’t just speak about helping people—she lived it as a Registered Nurse and at time of passing a graduate student for psychiatric nurse practitioner program which she was months from graduating Walden University. In 2010, she made the selfless decision to become an organ donor. Even in passing, she made sure her life would continue to bless others. Because of her incredible gift:

A 66-year-old man in California now has a heart that continues to beat.

Her liver is changing the life of an 11-year-old girl in California.

Her kidneys are helping a 74-year-old man in Wisconsin and a 43-year-old man in Arizona.

That is who my “big baby sister” was—selfless, compassionate, and giving until the very end.

Today, we are raising funds to give Sharee the beautiful homegoing celebration she deserves. We want to honor her life, her legacy, and the impact she made in just 33 years. Funds will go toward funeral and memorial service expenses, burial costs, and bringing our family together to lay her to rest with dignity and love.
