Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Strangers,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Shaniece Renee Anderson, who was taken from us far too soon at the age of 30 due to a rare and devastating blood disease. Shaniece was more than just a daughter, a sister, and a friend—she was a light in the lives of everyone who knew her. As a talented beautician, she didn’t just make people look beautiful—she made them feel beautiful, inside and out. She was a loving daughter and best friend to her dear mom and the best big sister to her only sibling! Her giving spirit and boundless love touched so many, and now we are asking for help in giving her the farewell she deserves.
Shaniece’s journey was one of strength and heartbreak. One day, without warning, she suffered a stroke. Doctors were baffled, unable to explain what had happened. As she fought to recover, she was hit with another stroke—still with no clear answers. After countless tests and visits to specialists, she was finally diagnosed with Autoimmune Lymphoproliferative Syndrome (APLS), a rare disorder that affects the immune system, causing it to attack healthy blood cells. It is an extremely rare condition that made every health battle she faced even more difficult.
Despite her incredible strength, Shaniece endured yet another stroke, resulting in three strokes total! This inevitably left her unable to live the full and vibrant life she had once loved so much. The illness took her ability to work, to create, and to care for those around her the way she always had. And now, it has taken her from us far too soon.
Adding to our heartbreak, after tireless attempts for medical support and insurance benefits, Shaniece’s condition was so rare that no insurance company would cover her, leaving our family with the unimaginable challenge to take care of her and now the challenge of laying her to rest without the financial support we desperately need. We are reaching out to our community—those who loved Shaniece, those whose lives she touched, and those who understand the pain of unexpected loss—to help us give her the farewell she deserves.
