My son, Shane Olswang, sadly lost his life on April 27, 2026, due to a tragic car accident. Shane was a passionate dog trainer and a true advocate for animals. He dedicated his life to training dogs that others had given up on—those labeled as vicious or untrainable, often facing euthanasia. Through his expertise and compassion, Shane saved countless dogs and helped families by providing the training needed for their pets to live happy, safe lives.

Shane’s journey was not an easy one. He overcame many personal and medical challenges, including battling addiction, surviving a near-fatal accident that almost cost him his leg, and most recently, managing medical issues. Despite these hardships, Shane never gave up. He was incredibly driven, becoming an active bodybuilder even after doctors said he would never play sports again. His determination and loving heart touched everyone who knew him.

On a Monday afternoon, while driving home on Narbonne Street in Lomita, Shane lost control of his vehicle and tragically passed away. He was only 37 years old. Shane is survived by his beloved bulldog, Bronson, who was his constant companion and best friend. As his mother, I was devoted to helping Shane live his best life, and now I am faced with the many expenses that come with his passing, including cremation, a memorial, and replacing my vehicle, which was lost in the accident.
