With profound sadness, on behalf of Kathy, Michael, Kimberly, Sarah, and Scottie’s girlfriend Bree, we are requesting assistance with funeral costs for Scottie Williams. Scottie passed away Sunday, November 9th unexpectedly after completing the Silver Strand half marathon, a marathon that honors veterans.

Scottie Williams grew up in Ridgecrest, CA with his parents, Scott and Kathy, and his sisters, Kimberly and Sarah. He was the youngest of the three siblings, and the apple of his mom’s eye for his entire life. He was loved by all of his family; his grandma JoAnn, his step dad Michael, his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his nieces and nephews. He graduated in 2015 from Burroughs High School. Scottie was an Army veteran, serving overseas in Syria and Korea before being honorably discharged in 2023.

His loss will be mourned forever by his family, his friends, and those who served alongside him.

These funds will be used to cover the cost of his funeral service and reception. Any additional funds will be given to Scottie’s girlfriend Bree as he was the breadwinner in their home.

We are hoping that by starting this GoFundMe, that this will ease some of the financial burden for Scottie’s family as they grieve. Even if you’re not able to contribute financially, sharing is a huge help also.
