It’s hard to put into words the loss of someone like Scott. He wasn’t just someone people knew—he was someone people felt. The kind of person who left an impression the moment you met him, and someone you were better for knowing.
Over the past few years, Scott became a close friend to so many. He was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone—friends, family, or even a stranger. He showed up. He made time. He cared in a way that was genuine and rare.
Scott had a way of bringing light into every space he walked into. He was always laughing, always smiling, always cutting up and making people feel at ease. Whether it was sharing stories, giving advice, recommending the best place to eat within 50 miles, helping you figure out a car problem, or just being there when you needed someone—Scott was that person.
He was also deeply passionate about his craft. As a co-owner of After Forever Tattoos in Winchester, Kentucky, tattooing wasn’t just a job to him—it was something he truly loved. Through it, he built friendships, created art, and connected with people in a way that made a lasting impact. So many of us will carry a piece of him with us forever—both in memory and in the work he left behind.
But more than anything, Scott loved his people. He made sure to show up for birthdays, visits, and the moments that mattered. He valued connection, and he never let the people he loved forget it.
Losing someone like Scott leaves a space that can’t be filled. The kind of person he was is the kind the world needs more of—and that’s what makes this loss so heavy.
