It is with a heavy heart that we ask for your support as we lay to rest Scott Douglas Tuft. Scott passed on July 7th, 2025. Scott's passing was sudden and unexpected. Ultimately, his passing was due to complications from an infection in one of his heart valves that led to several strokes and bleeding in his brain, causing severe damage. What should have been a weekend to celebrate with family quickly turned into days with family left with little to celebrate.

Scott would not have wanted this. He was the life of the party; the reassurance that everyone needed in their darkest moments. Scott always made everything seem like it would be okay. To know him was to love him. He was an incredible father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. His heart was big, and his presence was felt. His absence leaves a void in many of our lives that will never be filled. Scott was an avid fisherman and took great pride in his involvement in the Indiana Dunes Tourism Association. Scott is the kind of man who would have given you the shirt off his back without any hesitation or judgment. Simply said... they just don't make 'em like that anymore.

As we come together to mourn but also celebrate Scott's life, we are facing the difficulty that comes along with the immediate cost of funeral expenses and the inevitable hospital bills that will be forthcoming.
