It is with the heaviest heart that I share the passing of my beautiful daughter, Scarlett Rose Gormours, who left us yesterday. Scarlett was five years old and would have been turning 6 this coming July 26th. From the very beginning, she showed us just how strong she was—born 6 weeks early and spending her first two weeks in the NICU, she fought harder than most ever will in a lifetime.
Throughout her life, Scarlett faced so many challenges, including cerebral palsy and epilepsy, along with numerous brain and feeding tube surgeries. But through it all, she remained the happiest, most loving little girl you could ever meet. Her smile could light up any room, and her joy was truly contagious.
Scarlett loved SpongeBob, and nothing made her happier than singing and dancing. Those moments of pure happiness are what we will hold onto forever. She was the best daughter I could have ever asked for, and in the five years I was blessed to be her mom, she filled my heart more than words could ever express.
She is deeply loved by so many, and her absence leaves a pain that is unimaginable. As we try to navigate this devastating loss, we are asking for any help, prayers, and support in the coming weeks and months.
Thank you for loving our sweet girl. She will forever be our sunshine.
