Hi everyone, On February 23, 2026, I had to say the hardest goodbye of my life. My sweet girl, who had been my best friend since I was 10 years old, passed away at 14. She was with me through everything—all my best days and my absolute worst. For 11 years, she was my shadow. But toward the end, I watched her struggle. She could no longer jump up on the bed for our usual cuddles, she couldn't make it to her litter box, and she began "fake" eating and drinking as she lost weight and strength. Eventually, she could barely even let out a meow.
A trip to the emergency vet confirmed my worst fears: her systems were failing due to cancer. To keep her from any more pain, I had to make the devastating decision to let her go. Because this was an emergency, I had to take out a loan to cover the costs of her end-of-life care and services. While I have been working hard and staying disciplined to pay this down over the last two months, carrying the weight of this debt at 21 has been incredibly heavy.
I am reaching out to ask for help to finally close this financial chapter so I can focus on just remembering her without the stress of these bills. If you are able to donate, even just the cost of a coffee, it would mean the world to me. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this link. Thank you for loving her with me.
