In Loving Memory of Sarah LaCoursiere
Tomorrow, our beautiful Sarah will step into heaven.
While machines are sustaining her body for now, we believe Sarah herself is already at peace. Tomorrow, she will be disconnected from life support, and her broken, sick body will be healed completely in heaven. Our hearts are shattered.
Sarah lived for her three precious children Avalynn, Olivia, and Lawson. (8, 6, and 4) and her wonderful bonus daughter Kaylee. They were her greatest joy, her proudest accomplishment, and the reason she fought so hard through this long, painful journey with cancer. Since last spring, Sarah has battled this ugly disease with faith, grace, and a selflessness that never wavered.
If you knew Sarah, you know this to be true: she lived to make everyone else’s life easier. Looking back through her text messages, there is a constant theme — offering help, checking in, showing up — even while she herself was hurting so deeply.
Now it is our turn to help her.
We are starting this GoFundMe to ease the financial burden on her family during this unimaginable time. Funds raised will help cover:
- Medical bills from her extended fight with cancer
- Expenses for her celebration of life
- Allowing her husband, Justin, the ability to take extra time off work to be present with their children as they grieve and heal this tremendous loss
Sarah poured herself into her community. She was a beloved bus driver to the children of our small town, a volunteer board member with the Hungry Horse Fire Department, a gracious Airbnb host to those visiting Glacier, a devoted wife to her hardworking husband, and a faithful woman who boldly praised Jesus — even in the midst of her suffering.
Above all else, Sarah was a mother. Her children were her world. We will do everything we can to ensure they always know how deeply they were adored by their mom.
If you feel called to give, please know that every donation, prayer, and share is an act of love that helps carry this family through the days ahead.
Thank you for loving Sarah and for surrounding her family with support.
"If there’s one thing I want people to take away from my journey, it’s that we can choose hope. We can support each other, encourage each other, and remind each other that we’re never really walking this path alone. " Sarah - August 2025
