He was the kind of person you don’t come across twice in life… and now he’s gone.

It’s hard to put into words what Santiago meant to all of us.

He wasn’t just a friend—he was the person who showed up when no one else did. The one who made you laugh when you felt like breaking. The one who made sure you ate, checked in on you, and reminded you that you weren’t alone.

Santiago was a hardworking man with a heart bigger than most. No matter how tired he was, he always made time for others. His kindness wasn’t something he turned on and off—it was simply who he was.

He brought light into people’s lives in the simplest but most powerful ways. A smile, a joke, a helping hand… that was Santiago.

Losing him has left a hole in all of us that can’t be replaced.

We are urgently trying to raise $10,000 to cover his funeral expenses and to return his body to Mexico, so he can rest with his family, in the place he belongs.
