Sanjiv was an engineer at heart: endlessly curious and always interested in understanding how and why things work.

In May, Sanjiv was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer. Over the following months he fought with courage and strength. He received immunotherapy, a newer treatment that helps the body’s own immune system attack cancer, and after two treatments his AFP tumor marker began to fall. Sadly, the cancer had already grown substantially by the time it was found, and Sanjiv passed away peacefully in September.

Our experience with the impact of cancer is why this cause matters so deeply to us. Cancer that is caught earlier is far more treatable, and treatments are advancing every year. We are raising funds for the V Foundation for Cancer Research, which directs donations to research focused on preventing, detecting, and treating cancer, so that fewer families have to witness their loved one's fight with cancer.
